Silver Shimano DX Pedals – Details
Pair of silver Shimano DX pedals with 9/16ths spindles and original end caps. Too long ago to remember, however, probably a different colour and I removed that with a small wire wheel attached to a Dremel tool. These came off my Hutch Pro Racer BMX replica of my childhood bike and I did the same back in the day. Suffice to say, they are not original silver Shimano DX pedals.
As can be seen the in the photos, it’s good and bad news. The bad is the end caps are a tad beat up and no way they are coming out without being ruined. That said, why take them out anyway? If you must, then pick up some of the reproduction end caps available on eBay.
The good news is all the pins are good and not worn down from a lot of use. The ends aren’t beat up either and when removing the colour I did tidy up a few of the deeper scratches common on used pedals.
