Dia Compe MX900 BMX Brake Calipers – Details
Pair of Dia Compe MX900 BMX brake calipers for sale. Or is it Dia-Compe MX-900 or Dia Compe MX 900? Depends if you like hyphens, spaces or nothing.
These are original finish silver MX900 brake calipers. They were new old stock before being mounted on my Hutch Pro Racer that I am now parting out. That bike was only ridden for a few minutes so no marks from riding, save for the very minor bits on the original Dai Compe brake pads.
This is a set of front and rear. So one has the longer bolt and flatter washers for mounting on the forks. the rear has the shorter bolt and more rounded washers for the brake bridge.
The correct, original Weinman adjusters are there. The metal part connecting these to the caliper arm has gone dark with age. I have not tried to restore it back to the more silver look as it’s barely noticeable when mounted.
86 date codes are shown in the photos below. Decals are original and in mint condition.
Even includes the grey plastic end pieces.
Sorry I can’t separate these. They are packaged up (will be shipped unassembled) and I use a friend to ship things whilst I am travelling. Only need one then sell the other. Need two fronts or two rears then buy the required bolt and problem solved.
